2011 Holiday Mini Sessions

The days are getting shorter, the temperature is dropping (sometimes!) and holiday decorations are starting to make their way into the stores. That can only mean one thing; the holidays are just around the corner!

It’s been a wonderful year for Five Petals Photography, and I’ve been steadily booking sessions all year. Now that the holidays are approaching, almost all of my weekends are booked. In fact, I’m unable to accept any more full sessions before the holidays, but I’m happy to offer to you…Holiday Mini Sessions! Here are the details:

*If it rains on October 29, I’ll have rain dates available so please keep the mornings of November 5 and November 13 as tentative makeup days.

*Your gallery of images will be available within two to three weeks, definitely before Thanksgiving. The deadline to submit your Holiday Card order will be December 2, which will allow enough time for delivery to you in time for the holidays.

*Mini sessions are available for child and family sessions, but are not available for newborn or extended family sessions due to time constraints.

**Are you an existing client who is not available for mini sessions, but also didn’t get a chance to schedule your holiday family portrait session? I’ll be happy to create a custom holiday card for you using images from your 2011 session with Five Petals Photography.**

Jocelyn is 7 Months Old! | St. Louis Children’s Photographer

My sweet little lady turned seven months old last week. She is such a good little model, and I’ve been waiting for her to be able to sit up well enough for this picture! She did so great and big brother and sister helped keep her happy! Isn’t she such a doll baby?! I just lover her!

S & P | St. Louis Photographer

I had such a fun time with S and P last weekend at their anniversary session! I’ve known these two since high school and was really excited when they got in touch with me. See, they’ve been married 10 years and didn’t love their wedding photos as much as they’d hope so they decided that being married 10 years warranted new photos! They are such a fun and happy couple and it was so great to catch up with them and capture the happiness they share!

We had a lot of  and I am pretty sure they now think I am crazy, but hopefully they will forgive me when they see their pictures. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of the happy couple. Happy Anniversary to S & P!

This next photo may have led them to think, “Is she crazy?!” 🙂

The J Family | Glen Carbon, Ill., Family & Children’s Photographer

It was so wonderful to meet the J family at their home in Glen Carbon. Unfortunately, we realized quickly that it was super windy at their house so we decided to relocate to a nearby park, which turned out to be a beautiful location! L and B were super fun kids to work with, both of whom made my job very, very easy!

It was a warm evening, but the breeze really helped and we were able to really enjoy the evening and the view over the lake. We wrapped up our session back at the J’s house; their front porch is super cute as were their two puppies who joined in the fun!

Big sis was a dream to photograph!

Little bro’s dimples are just so adorable!

Jocelyn is 6 Months Old! | St. Louis Baby & Children’s Photographer

My sweet baby is fast approaching seven months old, and I’m just now sharing her 6 months pictures! She is such a little superstar; I have to enjoy it now before she gets ‘Photographer’s Child Syndrome.’ It’s a real, medically diagnosed disease, I swear! 🙂 But really, she’s a darling and I couldn’t love her any more!!

The E Family | St. Louis Family & Children’s Photographer

It was so fun to get together with the E family this week for their family portrait session. Mom and I started working together back when her oldest was a toddler and she was pregnant with sweet little G. I’ve had the chance to get to know their whole family through work and work functions and a few times just for fun too. They are the sweetest family and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to capture these super fun moments! While at their house, I also had the chance to see my pictures gracing their walls from two years ago when mom K trusted me to practice on her sweet little duo! They’ve grown up so much, but their joy and spark haven’t faded!

Happy summer E family!

And to show that they do love one another!

The boys: And the girls…!

The A Sisters | Belleville, Ill., Children’s Photographer

It was so exciting to get to meet our newest cousin, sweet baby M, who lives in California with her family. Mom, dad and big sister S (who you probably recognize from my blog!) along with grandma, grandpa and Aunt A recently traveled to China to maker her part of their forever family! She is just the most precious doll! She is happy and sweet and cuddly and…ooh…we just loved meeting her and getting to know her while they were visiting!

We met on a super hot day, but the girls did really well and already you can see what a bond they are forming! We captured 1 and 2 year milestones for these two and I can’t wait to continue watching them grow up together as sisters and best friends!

Happy Birthday S! | St. Louis Children’s Photographer

We got together with our neighbor turned client turned dear friend-whom-I-couldn’t-live-
without to capture sweet S’s 2nd birthday! I just can’t believe how sweet and beautiful this little girl is! She and my Drew have a love-hate relationship; one minute they are pushing, the next they are kissing! It’s too cute for words!

It was super hot on the morning of our session and S is going to be a big sister soon so running around in the heat made for some super hot mamas! Luckily, S is a rockstar and gave us the cutest pictures!

I thought I’d already posted these, but apparently I didn’t! So sorry for the delay!

Happy birthday big girl! We love you!

Happy Birthday T! | St. Louis Children’s Photographer

I first met T and his family when T was a brand new baby, and I was pregnant with Jocelyn. We had a mutual friend who was visiting from Chicago who thought we should all get to know one another and introduced us! Since then, we’ve had play dates and dinners out and it’s been so great having a new set of friends in town! When I was pregnant with J, Mom H and I had fun hanging out and then she went back to work full time! I was excited for her, but so sad to lose one of my daytime buddies! Luckily, they are living super close to us now so we plan to see a lot more of them in the neighborhood!

Sweet little T was a trooper at our session, which was on a 100 degree morning. It is so hot and humid right now in St. Louis that it is almost unbearable! Luckily, he is super cute and sweet and we had a great time!

Happy Birthday T!!

  1. T's Mommy:)

Laura, T’s pics look amazing and thanks so much for hanging in there with the heat. You were so patient and took such extra care with T, it was terrific. We love them and can’t wait to see the rest!

Happy Birthday A | St. Louis Children’s & Family Photographer

Miss A has been such a great little model for me over the last year and now she is one! We had to reschedule due to weather and sickness so by the time we had our session, Miss A had learned to walk! She was a trooper, trucking through the park like an old pro despite the early evening heat (98 degrees)! A’s mom also makes the cutest hair bows! They always match perfectly and look adorable on Miss A.  This time, Miss A was wearing a homemade, reversible outfit complete with headband, which attached like a hat! It was so cute! Big Brother T was super stylin as well! He is such a good big brother!

Happy Birthday Miss A! It’s been so great watching you grow!!
