Give Memories as a Gift!

I’ve had quite a few people asked me recently if I offer gift certificates. Well sure I do! It’s a great idea to give a photo session to the person who has everything! Just send me an e-mail, and we’ll work out the details! BLOG

And, because every post should have a photo, here’s one of my favorite little lady. Yes, her hair is a mess. Yes, it’s in her eyes. Yes, I want to brush it away. And those are the reasons this is quickly becoming one of my favorite pictures; it’s because that’s how we see her most often! Oh how I love this face…messy hair and all!!

Sneak Peek – The R Family | St. Louis Family Photographer

Today I had a session with a family I was very excited to meet-the R family! Why was I excited to meet them? Because the kids are in daycare with my kids; I’ve gotten a lot of e-mails from mom recently about setting up a ssession; I’ve gotten a lot of referrals from mom before I’d even taken their pictures! and yet, other than via w-mail, I’ve only spoken with mom in person one time in passing when dropping off my kids!

We had so much fun and this session was smooth sailing! Kid smiles? Check! Gorgeous Family? Check! Happy big sister super model? Check!

I can’t wait to stop in and give Mr. A a huge squeeze when I drop my kiddos off at daycare today! Enjoy yours sneak peak! Blog

Sneak Peek – L & J | St. Louis Candid Photographer

Happy Birthday to Miss L and little brother Mr. J! Today they celebrated their 3rd and 2nd birthdays together at a local bouncy house/soccer park and mom decided that with a four month old to care for, maybe she could use a little help to document the event! That’s where I came in! I had fun following the kids around and snapping their pictures as they bounced, ran and played with their friends! After all the fun, we moved into the party room for pizza and cake and boy was it good!!

Enjoy your sneak peek of these two little birthday cuties! Blog L BLog J

Sneak Peek – Brotherly Love!

The world works in mysterious ways! This sweet family was referred to me by two friends of theirs. However, after about five minutes, we realized that dad and I are from the same hometown AND this family lived across the street from Tim and I when we first moved to Glendale! What are the chances that it would take photography and a potential Christmas card to put us in touch!? Tim and I remember that when they moved four years ago we were dissapointed that a young family with kids was moving OUT of the neighborhood!

We took shots of both brothers, and they were darling! Being 3 is tough, which I understand having a 3 year old myself, but  they did great and really stuck with us! Big brother loved telling me about some of this favorite things! However, I saved the brother photos for mom and dad and Christmas cards.  Instead, here’s little brother who is about to turn one!! Happy birthday!! We snuck in a mini session for his first birthday, and he was a doll! Blog

Sneak Peek – B & E

I am having the best day and it ended on a good note when I had the chance to take pictures of B & E. Mom told me they do NOT like dress clothes and B, her oldest, warned her that they’d refuse certain pieces of clothing if mom tried to put them in it, such as sweater vests! 😉 Too cute!! Well, they had Christmassy clothes, but no sweater vests.. and they looked handsome anyway!

They gave me lots of smiles and we had fun making animal noises, watching daddy put socks on  his ears, and checking out Mr. B’s Cardinal Christmas tree!! Oh, and Mr. B didn’t hold against me that I root for the Illini and not Mizzou!

Enjoy! BLog

Sneak Peak – A & W

I got the sweetest welcome this morning from little Miss O and she showed me right away where to put my coat! We jumped right in and I knew these kids were a photographer’s dream when this was the very first picture I took of them together! Wow! Aren’t they darling? We did pics in their jammies and more in their holiday best and they were just so agreeable! Little brother W looked at me whenever I said his name, gave me huge smiles and obviously adored his big sister! Enjoy this little sneak peek! Blog

Sneak Peek – E & A

Christmas jammies, sibling love and one big kiss…what could be a better way to spend  a morning?! Miss E and Mr. A were too cute for words this morning and gave me lots of smiles even though Miss E was feeling under the weather. I had so much fun with these two and their parents and knew as soon as I saw this photo that I had to share it here. Sweet sweet sweetness is what I felt when Miss E called me from the doorway because she wanted to give me a goodbye hug….sigh! Blogger

Sneak Peek – N & V

Today I had the pleasure of taking pictures of Miss N and her little sister V. I was warned that N might not like photographers, but I got lot of sweet expressions and smiles from her! Little sis was an angel, but to be fair to her big sis, she’s not mobile yet and therefore couldn’t get away from us! However, for a 6 month  old, she is surprisingly strong and can support herself to stand!! Wow!

These two were dolls and it was so sweet of their mom and dad to come to our house to use my ‘studio,’ aka, our garage, to take these photos. Audrey was excited to get to be involved in mom’s photography and kept asking why N had to leave. I really think she thought this was a play date and was sorely dissapointed when her new friend didn’t get to stay!

I had fun with these girls and really enjoyed meeting this sweet family who are practically our neighbors!! Enjoy!

Sneak Peek – Boys Will Be Boys!!!

This morning I had the opportunity to take pictures of the S boys again! I just had a session with baby brother T in the hospital and now it was time to get all three of them together for a holiday session! These boys have lots of energy and spunk and are just too cute! The first time I met them, they seemed to shy away from me a bit; this time, they were ready to show me their rooms and play soccer with me! I got lots of smiles and we had a fun morning. Oh, and I learned that Mr. M sure likes mini marshmallows!

So as not to spoil any potential holiday cards, you’ll have to make do with a shot of their piggies. Too too sweet! feet3

Using Your Photographer’s Images

I recently read this great post on one of my favorits blogs: www.momtog.com. If you haven’t been there but like photography, you should take a few minutes (or hours) to read it from the very first post and all the way through!

Anyway, I wanted to share her most recent blog post, which I thought had some great information. I have great clients, but if at any time you are not happy with a way I process your images, would rather have black & whites instead of color (though I provide both on your CD) or want something different, please always feel free to call me and I’ll gladly accommodate your request to save us all the heartache of changing the photos yourself!

Anyway, enjoy this post from DrewB Photography!
